The Many Reasons Why I Love Tinker Bell

1. She can totally pull off green... I mean seriously... awesome.

2. I love that she can only feel one emotion at a time, on account of her teeny tiny body.... personally, feeling one thing at a time is probably a whole lot easier than feeling everything at the same time.. but thats just my opinion

3. She totally saves Peter Pan's arse at the end of the story, which is great cos he's a bit of a cocky git (even though I totally love Peter)

4. I wanna say something about female power here... but allow it. I'll just say that she's a badass

5. I just loveeeeee all the Tinkerbell paraphernalia in the Disney Store and everywhere else... if I had the money, I would totally collect it all.

6. Fun Fact: Tink is actually the UN honororary ambassador of Green, she was given the title to encourage kids to get more involved with the environment. Don't lie, you're actually impressed.

7. The Tinker Bell films are actually ok.... (I shouldn't have admitted that) and Fairies are awesome in general... embrace it :)

There are more reasons... but I've made myself look sad enough as it is.... so I think this will do

Don't Die Wondering

Choose what you do

Do what you love

Never wonder what if

Don't die wondering

Thicker Than Water

I spent some good, quality time with my brothers this weekend, which is always fun. I come from a very close family and I love it. I love that I can chill and laugh with my brothers like I would with my friends.
Yes, they can be majorly irritating; yes, I can never piss them off the way they manage to piss me off; and yeah, its annoying that all my friends fancy them, but my brothers are my rocks, and I'm blessed to have them!

Inspired

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still, I'll rise

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
Cause I laugh like I got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise

Pink Is For Girls & Blue Is For Boys

Maybe its me, maybe I'm seriously emotionally stunted, but I would prefer a cocky macho guy to an emotional, sensitive one. I know that I'm being incredibly stereotpyical right now, but whatever, its only my little opinion. Being seriously in touch with your emotions just isn't an attractive trait in a guy.
I think that makes me weird.. but I don't care....WHERE ARE THE REAL MEN!!!
Grrrr

Vampire Lust

Books, films, Tv... Vampires are everywhere, they are literally taking over the world. My stepdad doesn't understand the obsession: "in my day, we knew vampires to be evil. I don't get why they're all over the television screen"

I'm almost ashamed to say that I've bought into the new vampire cult completely. I'm in love with the Twlight Saga, and I don't even know why: the books are poorly written, the films are less than incredible, and the fact that the Cullen family don't drink human blood and parade around schools in the daytime is somewhat ridiculous . Yet, for some reason, I still love it. I think it has something to do with thier immortality. As a self-confessed sufferer of Peter Pan Syndrome (fear of growing up basically), the idea of eternal youth is one I find pretty romantic. True Blood, the vampire TV series based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels, is somewhat grittier and more violent than the Twilight phenomenom, but I am a fan, mostly because the guy who plays Eric Northman is Hot!

With all this in mind, and for no valid reason, I simply refuse to The Vampire Diaries: enough is enough

Golden Girl!!

I'm in love with BettyWhite! If I Could choose another grandma, I'd choose her! Was watching The Proposal recently, the film was alright, nothing new. But, without a doubt, the star of the show was Grandma Annie! She's still got it at 88 years old! Work it :)

"So I Think I'll Be Six Now, For Ever and Ever"

It hurts my feelings to know that I'm gonna turn 20 in about 6 weeks! I wanna know where the time went? It seems that everytime I turn around, I'm a year older. Oh how I long for those simpler days, where our most complicated problems revolved around the colour of the house we were drawing; the days when reading lists comprised of Biff & Chip. I want to bask in the glory of these final days, because once the title of "Teenager" is stripped from us, frankly, we're screwed.
