My mama cannot understand for the life of her why I watch such shit shows, and I can't even deny that they are all completely trashy. My stepdad asks me constantly "why don't you watch a show you can learn something from?" The answer is this: I spend my days reading Shakespeare and Hemingway, writing essays, and being generally scholarly, so when it comes to TV time, all I wanna do is SWITCH OFF, catch some jokes, and then tweet about it!
Also, the trashy shows are the most entertaining ones! Who's gonna try and tell me that they get as much enjoyment watching Animal Planet as they would watching some good old fashioned "You aint my babydaddy" Maury....... no one??? That's what I thought...
I'm on your side there, Leighan, you can watch and enjoy total crap on tv (& tweet about it!) but still be intelligent. I love BB, Waterloo Rd & Casualty, & sometimes CDWM, but also enjoy Uni Challenge & Mastermind. Watch what you want niecey! You need relaxation time as well as learning time. x
